Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the heey iOS app and this website. Using heey means you accept them.

Who can use heey

You must be 18 or older. heey is invite-only: you need a link from someone already using it, and both of you approve the friendship before anything is shared.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and give us accurate details. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.

Using it well

heey only sends heys, so there is not much room to misuse it — but the rules that matter still apply. Do not:

• use heys to harass, threaten, or repeatedly contact someone who does not want to hear from you;
• impersonate another person in your display name or photo;
• automate the app, script it, or try to work around the invite system, rate limits, or blocks;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service or anyone else's use of it.

Block or remove anyone at any time; blocking stops heys in both directions. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Invites

Invites are personal, limited in number, and may expire or be revoked. They are not transferable and may not be sold or publicly listed.

Purchases

Any paid features are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple takes the payment, and billing, renewals, and refunds are handled under your App Store account and Apple's terms. We use RevenueCat to record which purchases are active. Prices and what is included may change; changes will not affect a subscription period you have already paid for.

This is a beta

heey is early software provided as-is. Features may change or disappear, the service may be unavailable, and beta data may be reset. Do not rely on heey to deliver anything time-critical.

Ending it

Delete your account in the app whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or wind the beta down entirely, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, heey is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
